Important acquisitions for University Resource Centers in intercultural education
On Monday, October 18th, the project team carried out an interesting documentation visit to the Professor’s House in Chisinau, having as hospitable hosts Mrs. Mariana MARIN and Mr. Val. CAVCALIUC. Being in the process of endowing the Resource Teaching Centers in four universities from the Republic of Moldova, project partners, UPS “Ion Creanga”, State University of Tiraspol based in Chisinau, State University “B.P. Hasdeu ”from Cahul and the State University of Taraclia, we insist on identifying quality teaching aids and methodical literature, relevant to the practical training of future educators, teachers and professors. In this context, we were pleasantly surprised by the rich arsenal of resources, which capitalize creatively and multispectively on the good practices of teachers and managers in the country and abroad. We also met practitioners from several generations, starting with students, who value books and illustrative materials, helping children and teachers. The list of literature, thematic posters, files (in Romanian and Russian), for which we opted, is impressive and will serve as a valuable support in the professional qualification of pedagogical students.
In this context, we will continue the collaboration with colleagues from AGIRO, the branch in the Republic of Moldova, led by the tireless Mrs. MARIN and we hope that the investments made by us, with the help of development partners in the initial training of teachers, including from the perspective of intercultural education, will bring beautiful results. We want well-trained and motivated teachers for our multicultural environments, for them to become dedicated to our children’s education, helping them to cope effectively with the great challenges of diversity and change in the contemporary world.
