The main objective of intercultural education lies in preparing people to perceive, accept, respect, and experience alterity. The goal is to smooth the meeting ground with the other. To do intercultural education implies that the educational process itself should be realized in an interactive environment by putting together, face to face, the bearers of different cultural expressions. Alterity must become a reason for joy, an opportunity to strengthen the feeling of living together, a desire for cooperations. Another is an opportunity for discovery and awareness of the real identity. For, in the search for the other, we discover ourselves, we realize what we are, hopefully, deserving. The existential beauty is given to us by the other, by the miracle of exiting itself, of designing in another, by the love of the nearest – as of the distant one!
