Knowledge, attitudes and practices of capitalizing intercultural education in higher education institutions

Publications

Intercultural education is implicit in the local activities and strategies of the evaluated institutions. Teachers and students have an average level of information about the negative consequences of discrimination and lack of tolerance. The importance of intercultural education in initial teacher education is mentioned by the vast majority of participants in the study. Although at the theoretical level the participants have knowledge of the advantages of intercultural education, yet not all teachers apply EIC elements within the subjects taught, and there is no holistic strategic approach to the given phenomenon in view of the multi-faceted practical training of future teachers on the current needs of the Moldovan context.
